August Updates - support the Magnolia Village Beautification Forever Fund

Magnolia Garden Center hosts Garden Party on Aug. 26th!

Support the Magnolia Village Beautification Forever Fund.

Our good friends at the Magnolia Garden Center are hosting a garden party on Saturday, August 26th, from 6 to 9 pm at the beautiful Magnolia Garden Center.

Only 50 tickets are available, so don’t wait; get yours today. All proceeds will be donated to the Magnolia Beautification Forever Fund.

Attendees will enjoy delicious hors d'oeuvres from Kaspars Catering & Events, live music, and two drink tickets per person with a choice of beer or wine (non-alcoholic beverage options will also be flowing).

Proceeds will support ongoing maintenance and stewardship of the Reimagine Magnolia Village streetscape improvements. Money raised at the garden party ensures our shared investment in tables, chairs, umbrellas, benches, hanging baskets, and seasonal banners on distinctive poles look beautiful and stay healthy, functional, and safe. Investing in the Magnolia Village Beautification Forever Fund will keep Magnolia looking good and welcoming in the coming years.

Thank you, Magnolia Garden Center, for your support!
Reimagine Magnolia Village Project Phases IV & V Update

Thanks to our generous donors and after several delays, we are launching the construction of Phases IV & V of the Reimagine Magnolia Village project. It has been a busy construction season, so we have had a series of unforeseen delays.

Permits are all in hand, so anticipate that the streetscape improvements in Phases IV & V will become a reality in September before the fall rains begin.

We thank everyone for their patience in addressing supply chain issues and labor availability. And we sincerely appreciate our donors for supporting the Magnolia Village beautification efforts!

Please donate NOW to the Magnolia Beautification Forever Fund.

The costs of cleaning 21 umbrellas, purchasing and watering 43 flower baskets daily, and ensuring Magnolia Village looks great are not insignificant.

The tables, chairs, and benches enjoyed by many residents and visitors over the last two years will require maintenance in the years ahead.

We are building support for maintaining Magnolia Village streetscape improvements through cherished contributors like you and encouraging new donors to join us in keeping our Village looking beautiful forever.

The secret of a beautiful Magnolia Village isn’t just its creation; it’s maintenance!
Garbage Overflow Issues

We have heard you and are responding to the concerns about garbage in Magnolia Village.

The Magnolia Beautification Committee of the Magnolia Chamber of Commerce has and is meeting with Seattle Public Utilities and its partners in garbage & recycling services, Waste Management, and Recology, to try and find cost-effective and equitable solutions to the overflowing garbage and recycling cans, particularly those between the intersection of W. McGraw and 32nd Ave. W. and 33rd Ave. W.

Stay tuned for updates and, hopefully, improvements in the situation.
The Reimagine Magnolia Beautification Project is a grateful recipient of funds from the Neighborhood Matching Fund from the Department of Neighborhoods to help complete the streetscape improvements. Thank you!

To donate by check, please make payable to Magnolia Better Together and send to Magnolia Better Together / 3213 W Wheeler Street #51/ Seattle WA 98199. Please share your email on your check!
