Enjoy Your Summer Adventures! | |
Summer is a time to make lasting memories and check off some fun bucket list items while your schedule is a bit more relaxed. Our Middle School TIDES students (pictured above) had quite the bucket list experience last month during their trip to the Bahamas. They spent a week living aboard a boat, traveling 277 nautical miles, and completing 4 to 5 dives per day - including night dives! They got up close and personal with all kinds of sharks, explored shipwrecks, and became Advanced Open Water Certified. Some students even earned their Deep Dive Certification! What an incredible adventure for our Aspen Ridge Owls!
What adventures are you hoping to squeeze in during this second half of summer break? We can't wait to hear all about your summer experiences when you return in August!

Are your Owls excited to find out who their teacher will be for the 2023-24 school year? Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade will receive a postcard in the mail revealing their teacher by Friday, August 11th. Students in 6th through 8th grades can view their teachers and schedules on Infinite Campus beginning on August 11th.
If you do not receive a postcard or if you have any difficulty accessing Infinite Campus, please contact info@aspenridgeprepschool.org after August 11th for your teacher assignment. We're excited for another year of learning and growing with your Owls!

Each year, natural attrition occurs across our school as teachers and staff start growing their families or as they continue on different paths in their professional educational journey. It's a bittersweet time when we wish our outgoing Owls good luck in their new adventures and start welcoming a new flock of Owls to Aspen Ridge.
This year we're saying goodbye to Ms. Allen, Ms. Mitzel, and Ms. Van Kleef. We wish each of these awesome educators all the best and hope they'll come back to visit us soon! We know the Aspen Ridge legacy will continue through these amazing staff members beyond our community and four walls.

ARPS Band is Back with a New Music Teacher! | | |

Calling all budding musicians! It's not too late to sign up for Band for the new school year!
No experience is needed, and we have a new music teacher who would love to have you join the ARPS Band this fall!
Please fill out the Band Interest Form if you have a Middle School student who would like to add Band to their elective schedule, or if you have a Fifth Grade student who would like to learn more about Band Club this fall!

Calling all Cubers! Up for a Challenge? | |

Two of our 8th grade Owls, Taren White and Jayden Grotluschen, are coordinating a cubing competition that will be held right here in the gymnasium of Aspen Ridge! This is an official competition held through the World Cube Association, so it will include some seriously impressive cubers from around the state (and beyond)!
If you're a competitive cuber and would like to compete in the Centennial State Cube-Off 2023, sign up here! Spots are limited, so grab one while they're still available!

Thanks to all who attended our ARPS Uniform Sale last month! This was our first PTO fundraiser of the year, and we raised just under $1,000! We plan to have a uniform sale again on Meet the Teacher Night in August.
If you're new to the school or need a refresher, please view the Parent/Student Handbook in the Parent Portal for our uniform guidelines. The 23-24 Parent /Student Handbook will be posted shortly, but the uniform details are mostly unchanged from last year. One fun addition is that gray and forest/dark green bottoms (skirts, shorts, pants) will be approved uniform items this year (in addition to the previously approved navy, black, and khaki colors).
