Final Pitch Event

Healthy Aging Sandbox Challenge

Join us for the Healthy Aging Sandbox Challenge Final Pitch Event on June 28th at The Engine in Cambridge, MA. Eight digital health companies that are addressing the health of older adults will pitch for the chance to win one of four $50,000 awards which allow them to test their solutions with one of the cutting-edge R&D centers in the Massachusetts Digital Health Sandbox Network.


This event will bring together startups, accelerators, investors, researchers, and other key stakeholders to network in person and showcase the strength and opportunity of the Commonwealth’s digital health network.


The event will also feature a demo of the MIT AgeLab’s AGNES suit, as featured on the PBS documentary “Fast Forward” and National Geographic’s “Limitless with Chris Hemsworth."

Federal Executive Order Supports Family Caregivers

In April, President Biden signed an executive order that includes more than 50 directives to federal agencies to increase access to affordable, high-quality care, and to provide support for care workers and family caregivers. It includes actions to improve support for the 53 million family caregivers who provide the overwhelming majority of long-term support to older adults and people with disabilities. Healthcare Cybersecurity Updates

  • The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Cybersecurity Task Force recently provided new resources to help address the rising threat of cyberattacks in the health and public health sectors. Read more from HHS.

Healthcare Provider Cybersecurity Monthly Call

Topic: The FDA's New Cybersecurity Requirements for Medical Devices

On the second Thursday of every month, MeHI and the MassCyberCenter host a call to provide updates on emerging cybersecurity threats and cover a monthly topic of interest. The calls feature discussion leaders from MeHI and the MassCyberCenter, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) New England, the Commonwealth Fusion Center, and additional guest speakers. This month's call will include a presentation on the FDA's new cybersecurity requirements for medical devices.
