Early March 2025

Visual Arts Club

Calling all visual artists to the Freedom Public Library!

Join fellow artists for a relaxed and inspiring creative session! Bring your own materials and work on your current project, or challenge yourself with a new still life—each session will feature a different arrangement to sketch. Whether you're a seasoned artist or just getting back into creative expression, this is a welcoming space to create and connect with others who share your passion for art.

This group will meet on the second Saturday of each month and is intended for adults.

Blackout Poetry

Celebrate National Poetry Month & World Art Day!

April is National Poetry Month, and we’re celebrating creativity with a Blackout Poetry drop-in program on Tuesday, April 15, in honor of World Art Day!

"Erasure poetry, also known as blackout poetry, is a form of found poetry wherein a poet takes an existing text and erases, blacks out, or otherwise obscures a large portion of the text, creating a wholly new work from what remains" as noted by poetry.org.

Drop in anytime between 2:00-7:00pm to create your own blackout poem using provided materials. Stay as long as you like, experiment with words and design, and even add your masterpiece to our display. All ages are welcome, and no prior experience is necessary!
