In this book, Nobel Laureate Saul Bellow writes about his stay in Israel in 1975. He travels extensively throughout the country. He meets with a wide array of people, from Amos Oz to Yitzak Rabin. His memoir is an exploration of what it means to be Jewish in the 20th Century.

The Academy is a 6-month blended learning program that includes 2 weekend retreats, 8 Zoom sessions, Shabbat dinners, and more. The Academy features world-class presenters and kicks-off in late October 2023. We are excited to announce that the CHAIM exhibit now a temporary home at Temple Emanu-El.

The purpose of CHAIM is to teach about tolerance and empathy through the lens of the Holocaust. The CHAIM exhibit is appropriate for Jewish kids 5th grade and up, and non-Jews kids 7th and up. This is an important topic for our times.
