Scheduling Notice for 2023 ACAF Convention Attendees


If you're attending the 2023 ACAF Convention, please be aware that due to record attendance, times of certain activities previously posted may be subject to change.


One such change affects the W.J. Whitehurst II Golf Tournament at TPC Sawgrass, which will begin at 8:00am on Saturday, June 10, rather than 8:30am as previously indicated.


Be sure to reference signage posted around the hotel for the most current convention information. We look forward to welcoming more of you than ever before at this special annual event!

Developer Breaks Ground on Northern Florida Community


A local developer has started construction on a 303-unit community located in the Florida Panhandle. The developer looking to improve the community’s surrounding area with several site improvements for water, storm and sewer utilities that will be connected to existing public utilities. The plans also call for hardscaping, landscaping, irrigation, and asphalt paving.

Florida House Committee Recommends Spending $19.5B on Infrastructure, Tourism

 

The Florida House Infrastructure & Tourism Appropriations Subcommittee recommends spending $19.5 billion for infrastructure and tourism needs in fiscal 2024. The amount was revealed at a briefing by Committee Chair state Rep. Robert Andrade, R-Pensacola.

FDOT to Begin Repairs on Alma Lee Loy Bridge


The east end of the Alma Lee Loy Bridge in Vero Beach will be closed as the Florida Department of Transportation embarks on a five-year, $22.3 million repair project.

CWR Contracting Improves Miles of Highway on US 441 in Marion County


CWR Contracting has significantly improved over 10 miles of highway on US 441 in Marion County. This contract entails an array of enhancements, ranging from milling and resurfacing to widening shoulder and turn lanes. Additional pedestrian accommodations, signals, and lighting upgrades have also been implemented.

Duval Asphalt and ATS Assist FDOT with Training


Duval Asphalt and ATS recently hosted a facility tour designed to give Florida Department of Transportation PE trainees real-world experience with asphalt plant operations and testing. During the program, the PE trainees gain practical experience in the transportation engineering field that encompasses all of FDOT's operations.
