Nevins Summer Hours

Mon. - Thurs. 9am-9pm
Fri. - 9am-5pm
Closed Sat. and Sun. beginning June 18 2016
It's March and the winter is starting to lose its grip.  We've put together some cool (no pun intended) programs for this month including a talk about search and rescue in the White Mountains which is really timely and of course there is the Book Sale to consider.  The Children's department always has you covered with programs for all ages and the Teens are creating up a storm with "Creator Club" and "Anime Club".  Hope you'll stop by to check out one of these events or maybe even check out a book....that could happen too!

Critical Hours:  Search and Rescue in the White Mountains
March 25 2019, 7pm

A sudden storm, a forgotten headlamp, and suddenly a leisurely hike turns into a treacherous endeavor for those who hike the White Mountains. Join us and hear stories from Sandy Stott about the hikers who climb the mountains, and the steadfast Search and Rescuers who help save countless lives every year.

News from the Children's Room

March sometimes feels like the longest month of the year - too much winter, not enough spring - but as usual the Children's Room has plenty of wonderful programs to help you keep your children busy and entertained. We are especially excited to debut a new Sensory Storytime - March 30-- this relaxed and interactive program is designed for children with autism spectrum disorders, sensory integration issues, or other developmental disabilities, as well as their typically developing peers. The program lasts one-half hour, after which participants are welcome to hang out and socialize for a while.

Also, don't forget that we're still collecting pajamas for the Boston Bruins PJ Drive- if you'd like to help, please bring your donations of brand new children's pjs to the Children's Department by March 15. Thank you!
