Hafa Adai Catherine,

I hope that you, your business, and your families are doing much better as we continue to make progress toward full restoration from the impacts of Typhoon Mawar. The Chamber has arranged temporary quarters for the next several months as we work on repairs to our home office in Hagåtña. We would like to thank Chairman Untalan and his Team at First Hawaiian Bank for graciously housing the Chamber Team for several weeks immediately after the storm. If you would like to visit the Chamber, you can find us on the 3rd floor of the East-West Business Center, above the same wing as the Bank of Guam. Our contact information remains the same.

We are looking forward to seeing you at the end of the month for the general membership meeting featuring US SBA's Kevin Wynne. If you have any questions or concerns regarding SBA's disaster loan program, this would be a very good time to seek information.

Your Chamber will be ramping up our activities, committees, and programs in the coming weeks. Please be on the lookout for these events in your email inbox. We look ahead with optimism and are excited to see you again very soon.

Have a great weekend!

Onward together,

Catherine Castro

President

U.S. Forces, Allies and Partners Support

Large-scale Exercise In Indo-Pacific

More than 1,000 U.S. forces, Allies, and partners are operating out of Guam for a large-scale mobility exercise. Exercise Mobility Guardian 2023, Air Mobility Command's largest full-spectrum readiness exercise in the command's history, began on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, in the Info-Pacific region.

This year’s MG23 reflects an evolution from the exercise’s previous three, U.S.-based iterations, and aims to understand and overcome the tyranny of distance to deliver the mobilization, deployment, and sustainment functions that the Joint Force and Allies and partners depend on to respond to challenges worldwide.

Planning began in the spring of 2022 for the Pacific endeavor involving more than 200 planners from across AMC, including the headquarters staff, 18th Air Force, the 618th Air Operations Center and the U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Center. AMC exercise planners partnered with planners from dozens of additional Air Force, Joint, and international units to ensure the exercise delivers on its intent to demonstrate interoperability across Joint and combined international forces.
