Buda Bonds Website Update: Fund Allocation Transparency

Green Meadows Park Pavilion

Garlic Creek Trail

On May 25, Terracon visited Garlic Creek Park to begin geotechnical work for the proposed pedestrian bridge across Garlic Creek. A utility survey was also conducted. For further information about the project click here.

West Goforth Road

The preliminary design for the reconstruction of West Goforth Road is advancing. The City is currently evaluating four design options developed by the design team, Freese & Nichols. The team will share an update and the recommended design option with City Council this summer. Community outreach and input opportunities will be available before detailed design begins.

Garison Park

On May 16, the Landscape Architect, Ten Eyck, presented the schematic design for Garison Park to City Council. The design was approved, and the team will be moving forward with the schematic design milestone for midsummer.

Community Meetings and Events

We had so much fun at the Wiener dog races in April! Thank you for stopping by to chat and learn more. We always look forward to sharing more information about Buda Bonds with you.

The Garlic Creek Clubhouse and Park Welcome Summer event on May 25 was a hit! The team had a great time visiting with residents, answering questions, and discussing all things Buda Bonds.

In observance of the Juneteenth holiday, there will be no BBOC meeting in June. The next BBOC meeting is scheduled for July 17, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall. BBOC meetings are open to the public, and we encourage you to join us to learn more about the 2021 Buda Bonds project.

Capital Improvement Project Updates

RM 967 Sidewalk from Buda City Limits to Downtown

• Goal: Provide pedestrian connectivity to school sites along RM 967, Buda Sportsplex, and new commercial growth.
• Current Status: The sidewalk construction has been completed, and the city recently conducted an inspection to ensure it meets the accessibility standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Following the inspection, the sidewalk is now open to the public for use.
