Rabbi's Blog:

“People love dead Jews. Living Jews, not so much.” So says Dara Horn, author and professor. She wrote those words before October 7th. Antisemitism has been on the rise for years now. Before October 7th, there was Kanye West, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Charlottesville. And antisemitism on the news isn’t always the antisemitism that was felt by individuals – there were neo-Nazi flyers distributed to neighborhoods in and around Roswell. There were neo-Nazis demonstrating outside of Chabad of East Cobb and a Reform synagogue in Macon last year.

President's Blog:

As you may know, my term as president is coming to an end in a little more than a month, so this will be my last Kol Kehillah article. It has been an honor to serve this congregation for the past two years. I will remain readily available to help our next president as she implements her ideas to keep TKC moving in the right direction. I have the utmost confidence in her...

News From the Mitzner Family Religious School

On Sunday, March 24, we celebrated Purim! We had a SUPER Purim Shpiel, led by Caroline Figiel, starring Kyra Goldman, Rabbi Holtz, Lori Dreffin, Elliot Weiss, Ellie Honig, Carli Dewrell, Asher Dreffin, Gabe Dreffin, Willow Wright, Drew Green, and Mayah Waller. Special thanks to Danny for his musical support!

We also had our Shpiel ASL interpreted for the first time! It was so great to have an inclusive event for all needs.

Our carnival was a fun time as well - with DJ by Klara Meneker, games by Ashley Abrams, and so many parent volunteers to make it successful!

We hope everyone has a great spring break before we go into the final weeks of the school year and celebrate Passover together!

PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT:

College Outreach

Thanks to the generosity and culinary talents of Jodi Holtz (and Ezra), we were able to send homemade hamantaschen to over a dozen college students along with other snacks, and of course, groggers, masks and party beads.

We have also started connecting our students with other TKC students on the same campus. If you have a student that you would like to sign up for this program, please email TKCCollegekids@gmail.com

YOUTH ENGAGEMENT

RAFTY "student-napped" our 8th graders for a fun introductory event to the High School youth group! Our Klub345 kids had a very creative Cupcake Wars event. And everyone came together for a Havdallah and games night. Read all about it and see what they're up to on our website.
