Nevins News

Greetings!

July is a very busy month here at the Library.  Our Children's Department is in high gear bringing you tons of fun and exciting programs all based on the theme "Dig into Reading" .  Not to fear, the adult readers services department also has a reading program.  Just stop by the desk and check out how easy it is to participate.  Anna has all sorts of fun planned for the teens during the summer as well so we are really hopping thins month.   For those heading out on vacation, stop by to pick up some of those new "Beach reads" or even some old classics you've just been waiting to read, they're here just waiting for you.

Enjoy the wonderful warm weather....and relax with a good book.

 Best Wishes,

 Nevins Memorial Staff

For the Love of Bees:  Learn about the Importance of Bees to Us and Our Gardens
July 23rd at 7pm in the Garden Room (appropriately enough)

Honey bees are hugely important to the gardeners and the fruit growers in the region.  Lately, honey bees have been beset by a strange disease that destroys their hives   Birgit deWeerd, a local beekeeper, will discuss the need to protect these valuable species and will show us how to raise honey bees for higher garden yeilds and the joy of producing your own honey.
