EPE is committed to making energy more affordable in our region. From June 1 to September 30 Texas customers can expect to see savings of $11. In June, New Mexico customers will see savings of $18 on their bills.

El Paso Electric's customers are able to see these fuel savings because of the strategic energy purchases and sales that totaled over $1 million in savings this past year.
EPE’s 12th annual Summer College Internship Program kicked off on May 23, 2023. This year, the summer college intern program consists of six exceptional interns who will gain hands-on experience in various departments.

This program provides college interns the opportunity to be equipped with first-hand industry knowledge that allows them to identify their strengths and develop new skills by working with seasoned professionals in their field.
Prepping for Extremely Hot Temperatures
With high temperatures on rise, we would like to remind our customers El Paso Electric is ready for the summer. At EPE, we have additional crews and resources available to restore power as quickly and safely as possible in case of an outage.

During the summer, increased demand, overloaded equipment, and thunderstorms can cause outages. However, rest assured our dedicated power restoration team and repair crews are on call 24/7, ready to handle any issue, anywhere.
D.E. Shaw Renewable Investments has announced the Carne Solar Project with El Paso Electric has received approval from New Mexico's Public Regulatory Commission.

Carne's solar project is a 130-megawatt alternating current with a 65-megawatt storage facility in Luna County, New Mexico.
Celebrating Juneteenth: A Reflection on Freedom and Unity
This 19th of June commemorates the anniversary of the nationwide emancipation of slavery in the United States in 1865. This was an important milestone that followed Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation in 1863 which liberated more than 3.5 million enslaved African Americans.

Juneteenth is also known as Freedom Day where we celebrate the freedom, culture, and empowerment of the African American community. Let's join in the festivities and celebrate Juneteenth in unity!
Love Is Power: Happy Pride!
The month of June we celebrate pride month in honor of the Stonewall Riots that took place in 1969 where people of the LGBT community fought against prejudice in New York. As a result, this month we celebrate togetherness, confidence and love.

Pride month also brings attention toward the discrimination that many members of this community still face within our nation.
