The summer vacations have begun! I hope you and your family enjoy your vacation break from school and work this summer. I will miss you while you are traveling. But, know that I am praying for your safety and health and am looking forward to seeing you back in church when you return. Also, allow me to remind you to please not neglect your tithes and offerings. The church budget doesn’t take a vacation!

We are planning a special day for our gym dedication and recognition of our country’s Independence on Sunday, July 2^nd. We will have Sunday School at 9:15am and one worship service in the gym at 10:30am. Various teams are planning and making preparations. A special part of the service will be a slide presentation depicting the construction from groundbreaking through completion. If you have any pictures of the gym construction you have made along the way, please send a copy to Mickey Clogher at mclogher3@gmail.com to be included in the presentation.

 

Three very important events are coming up in the next two weeks. Next week will be our Children’s Camp at Waukaway Springs Christian Retreat Center. Please pray for our children, Bri Abercrombie, Rhys, all of our workers, and chaperones. Also next week will be the Southern Baptist Convention annual meeting in New Orleans. Please pray that His word will be central in all the necessary business of our convention, and that Southern Baptists will be united in carrying out the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus. Then, the following week will be our Centrifuge youth camp at Mississippi College. Please pray for Rhys, the camp staff, the chaperones, and all of our campers.

 

On a final note, the gym will be available for your use on Monday, June 12^th! Come and check it out!
