Claim filing to be required within 90 days: Currently, APP is processing claims allowing timely filing of 180 days from date of service. With the end of the COVID Public Health Emergency, Advocate Physician Partners (APP) will revert back to its historical timely filing rules of 90 days effective August 1. Claims with dates of service August 1 and forward will be subject to the 90 days timely filing rule. APP will reject any claim with a received date greater than 90 days from the date of service of August 1 and forward. If you receive a timely filing denial and want to dispute it, submit an appeal with proof that you submitted the claim within 90 days from date of service.

Patients can schedule their shot by contacting our Call Center at 866-443-2584 or calling their doctor’s office. See vaccine recommendations:
- Only bivalent vaccine doses are authorized for use in the U.S. to protect against COVID.
- A complete COVID vaccination for the general patient population, 6 years and older, is one bivalent dose regardless of monovalent vaccination history. Immunocompromised patients should consult with their doctor.
- Children 6 months to 5 years still require two or three doses depending on the vaccine manufacturer.
- Patients 65 and older are eligible for a second dose if their first bivalent dose was received at least four months ago.
