Dear Friends,
I have some exciting news to share with you about how God is leading us in this season in our lives, and I need your prayers and your support. We are launching into a new and challenging adventure that God is taking us on. I am now working with Men for Nations, founded by the late Dick Simmons. I’ve been on the M4N board for a number of years and am working as the Director of Prayer Mobilization.
Mobilizing men to pray together has been much more difficult than I anticipated. My long-time friend and prayer partner, Lee West, challenged me that if the men in America are not presently responding as we would like, THEN COME TO THE NATIONS! He said the nations are begging for pastors and ministers to come teach them how to pray and to encourage them and train them in biblical principles.
Lee kept asking and challenging me and finally, I told him, “Okay, send me a formal proposal and invitation and I’ll pray about it and present it to the M4N board.” Within just a few minutes he had emailed me the proposal and I forwarded it to the board, and we discussed it on our weekly call. Lee had suggested that we take just one country at a time and to start with Pakistan. After discussing Pakistan in our board meeting one of our board members prayed, “Lord, give us a clear confirmation if this is what you want us to do.”
After our board meeting, I checked our Men for Nations email and discovered a letter from a pastor IN PAKISTAN imploring us to come and preach the gospel and teach their church about prayer! He wrote: “I invite you to come to Pakistan to preach the gospel, share your testimony, participate in crusades, teach the Word of God and preach in our church. We believe that your preaching and praying will cause many lost souls to come to Christ and start revivals across the country.“ When I saw this, I immediately knew that God had answered our prayer, and He had confirmed His leading for me and us to go to Pakistan. I feel it is like the apostle Paul’s Macedonian call! As a result, Lee and I are planning a trip in April.
To add to our confirmation about going to Pakistan we received an invitation from the pastor that Lee works with in that country inviting us to teach and train his men how to establish intercessory prayer groups for the issues in their nation. He also invited us to preach revival services to at least 1500 people. Another amazing thing is that we will be able to do a child slavery rescue. And we will also be able to meet with the pastor that sent the email confirming to us that it is God’s will for us to minister in Pakistan. So, Lee and I are planning to fly to Pakistan on April 14th and return on the 28th.”
