Arnold Rabson Receives

2023 Sidwell Friends Distinguished Alumni Award


NJ ACTS congratulates Arnold B. Rabson, MD, Laura Gallagher Chair of Developmental Biology and director of the Child Health Institute of New Jersey, who received the 2023 Sidwell Friends Distinguished Alumni Award.


The award is presented to nominated alumni of reunion classes who have shown distinguished service to their community or within their profession. 


Dr. Rabson is Co-Lead for the NJ ACTS Pilot Program.

Sunanda Gaur Receives

Verice M. Mason Community Service Leadership Award


The EJI Excellence in Medicine Foundation presented Sunanda Gaur, MD, professor of pediatrics, director of the Clinical Research Center, and director of the South Asian Total Health Initiative (SATHI), with the Verice M. Mason Community Service Leadership Award on behalf of the Clinical Research Center at the 2023 Excellence in Medicine Awards ceremony.


This award is presented to an organization that demonstrates an extraordinary commitment to improving the health and welfare of the citizens of New Jersey and to an individual representing that organization who has personified, led and/or provided the vision for that organization.


Dr. Gaur directs both the RWJMS adult and pediatric Clinical Research Centers, which provide Rutgers investigators with access to trained clinical research clinicians as well as clinical space to conduct study visits and procedures. She is also a Co-Lead for the Participant and Clinical Interactions (PCI) /Trial Innovations Program of NJ ACTS.
