This Friday: BMA Empowerment Summit

We invite you to the 2025 Empowerment Summit. This flagship event will center on two key conversations:


  • Moderated by The Boston Globe, a Fireside Chat with the City of Philadelphia and City of Boston on empowering Black men and boys
  • A panel discussion on building bridges for action, featuring Black Boston leaders across Boston.


Join us on March 7th from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Roxbury Community College Media Arts Center (1234 Columbus Ave, Boston, MA 02120). Register today!

The inaugural BMA Empowerment Summit took place in 2024 at John D. O'Bryant African-American Institute. The event included a Fireside Chat featuring Mayor Michelle Wu, which was moderated by Glenn Jones from NBC10 Boston. Additionally, there were panels on economic opportunity, housing, education, and more:

To kick off Black History Month, the Office of BMA hosted an Employee Network & Lunch Mixer at City Hall. Despite the busyness of the season, departments from across the City of Boston came together for fellowship and connection
