“For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”

-Jeremiah 31:34

It is one of the strangest promises in all of Scripture. It came from the God of all creation; the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; the God who parted the sea and turned water into wine. This unparalleled promise came from the God who walked on a lake, made blind men see, and resurrected a dead little girl. What was the promise?

God said he would remember to forget.

God’s people continuously disobeyed God, but through the prophet Jeremiah, God offered a new covenant, and this covenant will last forever.

33 “This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel

after that time,” declares the Lord.

“I will put my law in their minds

and write it on their hearts.

I will be their God,

and they will be my people.

34 No longer will they teach their neighbor,

or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’

because they will all know me,

from the least of them to the greatest,”

declares the Lord.

“For I will forgive their wickedness

and will remember their sins no more.”

-Jeremiah 31: 33-34

God’s words of assurance and hope come to fruition through Jesus who took our sins upon his cross giving his “life as a ransom for many.” Jesus paid the price for me and you and now we live for Him. Yes, God promises to forgive and forget our sins, and he does.

See you Sunday, I can’t wait!

The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

and to One Another"

Join us at Shoka's for a wonderful devotion about her Asian culture's temples, rituals, and worship of idols of old and even today versus THE Temple we celebrate and worship as Christians, Jesus.

Jesus is all we really need. What a great reminder as we prepare our hearts and minds for the celebration of our resurrected King on Easter Sunday!

Shoka will then teach us how to make dumplings!  Bring a container that you can use to take your dumplings home with you.

Summer is just around the corner and our calendars will be filling up quickly with all kinds of plans. We hope you can join us for our annual church camping trip. Enjoy all that Sylvan Lake State Park has to offer! It's a great time to fellowship with other church members. Bring your 5th wheel, pop-up, or tent it!

All are welcome. Mark your calendars TODAY!

LORD JESUS, HEAL OUR LAND, OUR BODIES, AND OUR HEARTS.

Please pray for. . .

  • Those who struggle with mental illness. Lord, fill their hearts and minds with your truth, your love, your comfort and peace. Remind them who they are in you and giving them your everlasting healing.

  • Kennedy's friend, Soffia, who is battling childhood cancer. She has several months of chemo and radiation on the schedule. Pray for God's healing hand to cover her and for strength and comfort for her and her family.
