From the Minister
My Dear Friends—They devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to the communal life, to the breaking of bread and to the prayers. So begins our lesson from the Acts of the Apostles. And we might ask ourselves, “Who are ‘they’?” One answer, of course, is that “they” are the ones—some three thousand, we’re told—who’ve just heard Peter’s proclamation of the good news, welcomed that news, and been baptized. But surely you can guess the other answer I’ve got in mind. If this scripture is sacred for us, if this account of the early church is indeed Good News, it is because we recognize the divine imperative that “they” are in fact us. Continue reading here

Earth-Friendly Potluck Luncheon
This Sunday: April 30, 12:30 PM at the Parish House, 64 Beacon
Join us on Sunday, June 30 at the Parish House at 12:30 for an Earth-Friendly Potluck Luncheon. We are learning how important our food system is for planetary health. By some accounts, food production, transportation, and consumption constitutes 30% of all greenhouse gas emissions. What we choose to eat, where we buy it, and what we throw away can make a big difference. Local farmers, who are challenged by the economics of an ever-more consolidated agribusiness production, need our support. Click here to read more.
