Health Quality Innovator of the Year

Citizens Memorial Hospital has been recognized as a Health Quality Innovator for 2023 as a runner-up in the Collaboration category. CMH incorporated insights from its Patient and Family Advisory Council to introduce a waiting room attendant in the Emergency Department. The hospital's survey response score for communication about wait time increased from 33.2% to 40.8% in six months.

Bereavement Support Group Begins March 5

Citizens Memorial Hospice will host bereavement support group classes starting Tuesday, March 5, at 9 a.m. at LimeBank, CMH Community Room 2, 1630 S. Killingsworth Ave., in Bolivar. The support group sessions will run for eight consecutive weeks. They are open to anyone affected by the loss of a loved one and are offered free of charge. Pre-registration is requested.
