Voting Period Open in RA Board Election
Beginning Friday, March 1, Reston Association members can cast their vote for four (4) members of the Association Board of Directors.
Take the time to vote in the election and have your voice heard in Association business. Voting is now open, and you may cast your vote electronically here.
The RA Board of Directors shapes Association policy and discusses important Association business, such as setting the annual member assessment.
Reston’s governing documents require a ten percent quorum of eligible voters to validate the election, so each vote is critical.
The Association’s Elections Committee certified four candidates for the three open seats in this year’s election. The candidates running in the month-long election are as follows:
South Lakes District Representative (3-year term – 1 seat open)
At-Large Director (3-year term – 2 seats open):
- Izzy Santa
- Darin Skelly
- Jalal Mapar
Members who have requested to vote electronically will be eligible to vote using the online portal as soon as voting opens. Those who have requested a paper ballot will need to wait for their ballot to arrive by mail.
Voting Period Open in Category B
RA Board Election
Beginning Friday, March 1, Reston Association Category B members (Apartment Owners) can cast their vote for one (1) member of the Association Board of Directors. Only Apartment Owners can vote in the Category B election for the Apartment Owners Representative seat.
