Knightdale Hosts The Victory Ride

To Cure Cancer!

The Town of Knightdale, in collaboration with The V Foundation, hosted the Victory Ride to Cure Cancer presented by CBS 17. This has been a success event held in Raleigh for several years. We were fortunate to have the event held in our town for the first time this year!

The event is a fundraiser that helps raise money for cancer research. Over 550 riders and volunteers came to Knightdale Station Park to participate in the event. Overall, the event raised $300,000! Way to go, Knightdale!

Thanks so much to The V Foundation, its CEO, Shane Jacobson, TV anchor Bill Young and the entire CBS 17 team, Councilor Mark Swan, and everyone who helped make this event a tremendous success. Let's do it again next year!

Knightdale Fire Station #1

Is Underway

Knightdale Fire Department recently broke ground on Fire Station #1, which will be a Fire and EMS station located at the corner of Old Knight Road and Forestville Road.

Station 1 will continue to define and represent the importance of our firefighters' and paramedics' work. It will also help ensure that the Knightdale Fire Department will be prepared to meet the needs of our rapidly growing community for years to come. The new facility will continue to serve as the Knightdale Main EMS station.

Thanks to Knightdale Fire Chief Loren Cone, Wake County Commissioners Shinica Thomas and Don Mial, Knightdale Town Councilors Ben McDonald, Stephen Morgan and Mark Swan, and everyone who came out to support this groundbreaking event!

Haven Farm Celebrates Its

Grand Opening

I was recently invited to attend the grand opening of Haven Farm, a 40-acre event center, garden and sanctuary created to bring the community together.

The grand opening event highlighted the many amenities of the various spaces. There were plants for sale, petting animals, and so much more. The farm is a great place to host weddings, receptions or other community events. The owners really want to bring people together with this facility, and that's what we're all about here in Knightdale!

Thanks to Knightdale Town Councilor Steve Evans and Wendell Mayor Virginia Gray for attending and supporting the grand opening. What a wonderful addition to eastern Wake County!
