Camp Kumuntome Mid Summer News 2023

SUMMER SO FAR

After a very busy spring of preparation, cleaning, building and reimagining, the summer has begun very successfully and is flying by! Our staff have been working well together to create memories for families through lots of great activities, crafts, discussions and liturgies. And could we have asked for better weather??

Thank You's

Cookhouse Front Cabinets

One of the most noticeable "upgrades" this spring has been the replacement of our front cabinets in the Cookhouse. They are allowing better efficiency and space for all the things! We are able to implement the three sink dishwashing system, plumbing has been updated (thanks Tom Carruthers) and they really brighten up the room! Thank you to those who planned and designed and in particular to Paul Baker who donate his time and energy into the project, building and installing. A shout out goes to Norm Baker (no relation!) for the incredible backsplash.

St. Anthony Update

For the past several years we have been upgrading and updating each of our cabins. This year was St. Anthony. Electrical work has been redone, new flooring, new foundation, windows and walls! Its BEAUTIFUL! Check out that ramp! Thank you to the team of builders that put many days and hours into this project. Your work is greatly appreciated!

There are still a couple of cabins to go, but we will need to reenergize our volunteers and our bank account! Donations towards building and maintenance are always appreciated.

BBQ Donation

A special thank you to RGI Inc (Mike and Suesan McKeen) who donated our new fantastic BBQ! It is made for royalty!
