Hello Theatre Family,
The taste of SPRING is the air! 🌱🌞🌈 We are finally over our colds and the sun is invigorating a desire to get outside and get active. The League has the perfect line up for you to get outside and get involved this season.
It’s our birthday this month we are celebrating 46 years of promoting, supporting and advocating for theatre! To make sure that this work continues, you can show your love during our League Birthday Blitz by making a donation of $46, $460, $4,600 $46,000, $460,000, or $4,600,000. Every dollar of support allows us to keep our programs going like Chicago Theatre Week, Hot Tix, the Career Fair, our jobs and auditions board, and so much more.
We are continuing our tradition of giving back for our birthday through our annual Drop & Swap Tool Drive taking place on April 11 from 10am-4pm. Speaking of giving, our Community Empowerment Series should not be missed either as we are bringing Chicago Funders to the table, one of the highest requested sessions of the year, to hear straight from the Chicago funding community about their programs, parameters and changes. We will be at Jane Addams Hull House on April 21 from 5-8pm for this event.
We are gearing up for our third annual Career Fair next month and we need your help in tabling, panel discussions, resume reviews and mock interviews. Expanding to two days this year with focuses on administration and performance will be a record breaking year with an opportunity to support industry members interested in every aspect of our field. Finally, we are finishing the month in Springfield to put advocacy into action alongside Arts Alliance Illinois to talk to our legislators about the importance of the arts. We must make our voices heard and stand up for our rights as creatives. The League is Springing into Action! We hope you join us.
