MESSAGE FROM FR. JEFF

Hello everybody!

I hope you enjoyed the solar eclipse yesterday. I was with my mom and we stepped outside to view it. I have been helping her over the past few months prepare to move including some renovations to her new home and packing, which we were doing yesterday. She is downsizing and moving into a single level home. I am excited for her as the big move day is this weekend! Please pray that everything goes smooth. Thanks.

The Knights of Columbus is hosting a pancake breakfast after the 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. masses this weekend. It will be in the Celtic Center on the ground level below the Church. I hope you and our family will plan to enjoy some good food and great company!

As you know, we depend on you to fulfill our mission of being a beacon of Christ’s love in our world. God works through your gifts of time, your skills, and your financial contributions. I am grateful for your generosity and your person to person, heart to heart, service of others. Our stewardship renewal process is coming to a close and the deadline for returning commitment forms, either online or hard copy, is Monday, April 15. If you haven’t already done so, please pray about what God is seeking to do through you and let us know by Monday. Thanks, as well, to those who have already done so.

I am excited to announce that I will be joining Dr. Marcellino D’Ambrosio as he leads a pilgrimage to the Holy Land after Easter in 2025. After his visit and presentations to our community for our Family Lenten Retreat in 2023, he invited me to consider joining him and extending the invitation for this pilgrimage to you. After prayer, discernment with our Pastoral Council, and feedback from several parishioners, I am happy to be part of this opportunity for members of our community. Of course, safety is paramount and more information will be available through a flyer in our bulletin this weekend. Dominique (Dom) Bouvet, who plays guitar at some of our masses, is our local coordinator and can help answer any questions for those interested. You can reach him at 612-385-4815 or dombouvet@mac.com. You can also find out more through this link.

As we continue through the Easter Season, as the joy of Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, be in your hearts and homes.

Peace,

Fr. Jeff

Staff Spotlight

Jeanette Rowland, Communications Specialist/Assistant to the Pastor

What is something people do not know about you?

Growing up, my father's service in the Air Force afforded me the opportunity to live in various locations around the world. As a result, I attended four different grade schools and two high schools, one in Japan and the other in Hawaii, where I graduated. I pursued my college degree in Louisville and still enthusiastically cheer for my alma mater - Go Cards! Following graduation, my journey led me to 8 years in Las Vegas, where my husband and I welcomed our two children.

What is your favorite scripture or prayer and why?

Deuteronomy 31:6

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."

At times, it may feel as though the world is spiraling into chaos, yet when you place your faith and trust in the Lord, everything will fall into place as it was meant to be.

What do you love most about your ministry/serving at St. Patrick?

After 23 years of extensive travel with the American Cancer Society, coming to St. Patrick signaled the start of a new phase in my life, which I affectionately refer to as "chapter 2." I now embrace the chance to build connections with individuals in my local area. While St. Patrick's remains my spiritual home, my colleagues and fellow parishioners have grown to become an extended family to me.
