Dear Prayer Partners,

We just finished our staff meeting for the night and were commenting about the day. Today, it rained off and on which is good and bad. We love the cooler weather (and lack of heat) but it forces us to change many of the outdoor plans we had on the schedule. But the kids were great and adapted well. Again, thankful for this cooler weather.

Here is a sweet story from our scribe:

It's Tuesday morning at camp and it's raining. Did you know that it's a great fishing day on a rainy morning? No lightning. A little more than a midst, but less than hard rain. Cooler breeze. Not hot. At all. Muddy on the shoreline. But who cares. We're fishing. And we did. Bass and perch just 'showed up' on the kids fishing hooks. 'I caught a fish!' Lots and lots and lots of fish....The smiles and excitement exuded joy. Then when swim time began in the afternoon, God parted the clouds and the sun was bright and the weather was warm to invite the kids to jump in the pool and pond. Thanks, God.

Acts 14:17 'Yet he has not left himself without witness, in that he did good and gave you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons; satisfying your hearts with food and gladness."

Blessings,

Darren
