NEW MINISTER ORIENTATION AND FALL GATHERING
Wednesday, 9/6 at the Archbishop Brunett Retreat Center
The day begins with helpful information for new youth ministers and faith formation leaders. All others are invited to join us later for our annual fall gathering. Mark your calendar – We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
SafeTALK WORKSHOP (SUICIDE PREVENTION) FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Saturday, 9/15 at Holy Family, Kirkland
Middle school and high school students are invited to this workshop exploring how they can recognize when a person is experiencing thoughts of suicide, and how they can connect them with appropriate resources. This workshop is facilitated by the Archdiocese of Seattle’s Catholic Lifesaver Corps, a group of high school students trained and certified in suicide prevention. Here are the proposed dates and locations for Confirmation Retreats for the coming year. We welcome your feedback! We will confirm these dates soon!
- October 14-15, 2023 – Camp Don Bosco (this is an overnight retreat) - MS
- February 17, 2024 – Holy Family, Seattle – MS & HS
- March 16 – Shelton, HS and MS
- April 6 – Camp Don Bosco – MS
- April 13 – TBD – Net Ministries – HS

HISPANIC YOUTH CAMP 2024:
This annual tradition was well-loved before Covid, and we are thinking 2024 may be the year to bring it back! We have the weekend of May 17-19th reserved at Camp Hamilton...
- First, we need to know if we’ll have campers! Do you have a group of middle school and high school students who would like to attend?
- If so, we need volunteers to plan and run the camp and activities. Would you like to join the planning team? Do you know of others who would be good additions to the team?
- Call or email me to share your thoughts on both questions. (And please forward this question and my contact info to anyone you know who might be interested!)
- If there is interest in Hispanic Youth Camp 2024, we will schedule our first planning meeting for late-September.
