Stock Taking - 'Keep in Sync'


Did you know there is a useful feature in FLEX that allows everyone to see the stock that has been added to a stock take when multiple staff are working together.


'Keep in Sync' will save the scanned entries into the database and refresh the stock-take list, displaying all stock entered by all staff members.

Quick Response Codes - Generating & Adding to Letters


A QR or 'Quick Response' code is a type of barcode that can be easily read by smartphones and that contains data i.e. a website URL.


FLEX can create a QR code for the online booking URL that patients must visit to access your online booking site. The QR code can be added to recall letters, allowing patients to quickly access the booking site by scanning the QR code with their smartphone.

HPP indicates high-priority patches that are downloaded and installed automatically

MTS indicates patches that have been deployed to the 'Hosted FLEX' servers

REQ indicates a patch that will be loaded on request or when an issue is highlighted

  • A new feature has been added that allows Optinet helpdesk staff to import lens prices using a CSV provided by a third party.


  • #093: Sight Exam Record
  • Fixes a bug where selecting Voucher A in the Sight Exam was not correctly ticking the Voucher Issued field - this corrects the use of the merge field TesNHSVoucherIssued.
