One thing we do here at St. Alban’s is pray, which is a good thing. However, our Sunday prayer list is getting rather lengthy. In an effort to stay on top of our prayer list, we will keep folks on our Sunday morning prayer list for a month at a time. We ask that you inform Ernestine Ujah, our pastoral associate, if you wish to keep a person’s name on the list for the next month and we will add their name to the “continued prayers for” section. Please do let us know when healing has occurred so we can give thanks for that!

All are invited to our 2025 Holy Week Liturgies! Beginning on Palm Sunday, we begin a journey with Jesus through his life's most challenging, consequential days. We have a longstanding tradition at St. Alban's of placing a glorious display of lilies in the church for Easter services. Following Easter worship, the flowers are taken to members unable to worship with us in person.
We invite you to participate with a contribution of any amount to offset the cost of the flowers.
You may submit a donation via cash or check, returning it along with the completed form attached HERE to: St. Alban's Episcopal Church - 333 South Drexel Avenue, Bexley, Ohio 43209. If submitting a check, please note "Easter Flowers" in the memo line.
You may also submit a donation online, using a debit or a credit card at https://stalbans-bexley.org/easter-flowers/. When submitting online, please email admin@stalbans-bexley.org with your dedication information.
We ask that all forms and donations be received on or before Monday, April 14, 2024, to insure your dedication will be listed in the Easter Sunday service bulletin.

Thank you to those who have volunteered to deliver Easter lilies. As is our custom, following Easter Day services, the Easter lilies will be distributed to members unable to worship with us in person, to those who are ill, to welcome those new to our church family, and to those who have lost loved ones in the past year.
We will need the volunteers to: (1) Make sure to take the plant with the person’s name you are delivering to; and (2) Pick up the personalized cards on the table at the back of the church. The person’s name and address will be on the cards.
For additional information, please contact: Ernestine Ujah at eujah50@att.net or 614-561-8547.

Celebrating a Successful Bonhoeffer Series
St. Alban’s 2025 Lenten Wednesdays sought to bring clarity to the life and work of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a German Lutheran pastor whose life (1906-1945) is seen as an example of a faithful Christian response to life in “A house Divided and a World on Fire”.
Over five Lenten Wednesday evenings, parishioners enjoyed the fellowship afforded by a meal of soup, bread, and dessert. Our thanks go to chefs Ann Lowder and Carolyn Christy, Penny and Frank Shyjka, Jennifer and Harris Wood, Lain and Robert Howarth, and Wes Jobes, Susan and Scott McKinley. Thanks, also, to Pastor Beth and admin Marcy Edwards for overseeing the execution of the many details needed to insure the success of the Lenten study.
Presenters included Laura Piazza, Pastor Beth, and the Rev. Dr. Kit Kleinhans, Dean of Trinity Lutheran Seminary who all followed the curriculum developed by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (2023).
The discussions were thought-provoking and challenging and offer opportunities for further reflection going forward. Thanks to all who participated!

Weekly Pantry Collection:
THIS WEEK BRING CANNED BEANS
Wow! Thank you for the difference you have helped our weekly collections make in March! For the week of March 16 alone, we gathered about $200 worth of essentials for community members in need. The items for the first four weeks of March all went to St. Philip Episcopal Church’s food pantry ministry.
Let’s continue our weekly response to that favorite gospel lesson from John 6: Acting in the faith of the child that whatever we bring to Jesus will become enough to meet the needs of those around us.
April 17 (Maundy Thursday) - Dish detergent
April 18 (Good Friday) - Hand soap
April 20 (Easter Sunday) - Hand towels
April 27 - Cereal
