Dear Parents,

This week we had an EGGciting, EGGceptional time during our Spring Egg Hunt. Thank you to all the families who sent in filled eggs and more importantly, thank you to all the parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents who came to volunteer. The biggest thanks goes to my EGGceptional EGGtrordinary staff who made sure all the kids got an equal amount of eggs and the activities they planned around the day.

Head over to our website. On the Parent Corner, scroll to the bottom News and Announcements section to watch the video of the event. It is about 18 minutes long. The first part is a video recap and the second part has the class photos and candid pictures.

Next week we will begin our weekly Teacher Appreciation Lunches. At Kids For Kids Academy, we like to let our staff know every day that we are so very grateful for the fabulous job they do loving and caring of your children. Some schools celebrate staff one week out of the year. Many years ago we used to have 1 teacher appreciation lunch and SOOOO much food came in it could not be eaten. That is when we decided to spread it out and let one or two classes each week provide the lunch. In this case, each family signs up for 1 item on the list and for 8-10 weeks our entire staff is treated to lunch. Please see below the week for your class to sponsor the lunch. Sign-up sheets go up each Friday for the following week.

April 11: Silver & Gold, April 18: Green & Red Door, April 25: Yellow, May 2: Blue Door, May 16: Rainbow May 23: Orange & Purple, May 25: Brown.

Each year our school hosts a Muffins with Mom and Donuts with Dad events. Each year we have several children with hurt feelings as either their parents work and cannot attend or some don't have moms or dads. We have all kinds of families. Some are foster families, some kids are raised by aunts or uncles or grandparents. Some families have only moms and others only dads. We have decided this year rather than holding these two events as a way to be inclusive to all families, we will hold one celebration called Parents Day. It will be held May 22, 23, and 24, exact dates by class to be determined. On that day, each child will be invited to bring one family member to celebrate Parent's Day.

Next week, our kids in Rainbow, Orange, VPK, and our K-2 program will have an onsite field trip. If your child is in attendance on 4/11 you will be billed the $8 field trip fee. If your child is in Green, Red, Yellow, or Blue, they will have a visit on 4/12 from our storytellers from the Country Walk Library.

Finally, there was a mistake on the school calendar. It showed April 10th as a Teacher Planning Day/Non-Instructional Day. That is not the case, we do have school that day.
