What a wonderful week for the Southside Business Men’s Club! There were so many great events. Our guest speaker was Mr. Adam Dillon from the Jacksonville Small and Emerging Business JSEB. He provided our members that were in attendance with a range of things they can do to help small businesses located here in Jacksonville. Many of our members have already reached out! Part of SBMC is helping our members grow their business, education, and opportunities to network. This week we helped to provide all three.
Speaking of our members, I can’t speak enough of how much I appreciate all the members who took time to come out to the TPC and volunteer to help with our fund raising for the Kids Holiday Shopping Spree. We had a great time getting to know one another better while taking in some of the most breathtaking views in Northeast Florida and it was all for a good cause. I want to especially thank Angelo Volpe and Rene Zook for their help in organizing both of these events. Also, a special thank you to Mike Ammirata of Resource Solutions Plus for donating the golf Polos. You can see by the pictures below our crew look sharp and we had many of the TPC attendees ask about our organization.
Our attendance at our meetings has been steadily growing. Even during the week of TPC, we still managed to have many members in attendance along with many new faces. We ask that you continue to register in advance of our meetings so we can be sure to have enough room available to accommodate everyone.
We are off to a great start this year and have a lot of events planned. We hope you will take advantage of the many things our club has to offer.
Sincerely,
Ken Petsch
2025 President

MEET CHRIS BAGLEY, 2025 SERGEANT AT ARMS
I was born and grew up in Callahan, Florida where my family and I raised cattle. We moved to Jacksonville when I was fourteen years old.
I graduated with a bachelor's degree in business from Columbia College. Following graduation, I worked for Circle K, where I oversaw ten stores. During my time with Circle K, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to give a presentation at the Super Dome in New Orleans. For ten years I worked in retail management for Staples and Office Depot. I have been with my current job at The Holmes Organization going on nine years. My position is primarily working with business owners across the United States to assist in finding the best commercial insurance policy to fit their specific needs.
I am the proud dad of an amazing seven-year-old son, Luca and an eight-month-old Bassett Hound named Olive and dedicate the majority of my personal time hanging out with them and enjoy watching them grow.
