Dear St. Anthony Families,

I hope you are all enjoying the first week of summer! The school building has been busy cleaning and preparing for summer school and next school year. The park has transformed into a carnival and I hope you can make time to stop by this weekend and support the parish festival. See you there!

Remember that we are striving to create valuable learning opportunities for students throughout the summer. By keeping students engaged during the summer months, students can explore new topics, engage in hands-on activities, and foster a love for lifelong learning. Summer learning can be transformational and ignite their curiosity beyond the boundaries of the classroom.

Every student at St. Anthony has a summer reading assignment and summer math challenge. Students received all of the summer homework information from their teachers during the last week of school. Summer homework information can also be found in all of the summer newsletters, as well as, on our school website. Links are available for purchasing the books on Amazon, checking them out from the Indianapolis-Marion Co Public Library, and we also have a limited number of books to check out from the school office. Summer office hours are Monday-Thursday 9:00am to 1:00pm.

We look forward to welcoming our registered students back for summer school next week. Summer school is located at St. Anthony from June 12th-23rd, 2023, 8:30am-1:00pm.Summer tutoring is also being offered to qualifying students through the Indiana Learns tutoring grant. Students who qualify can receive up to 500.00 in tutoring grants from the state to use at their approved locations. Parents who have been contacted to complete registration forms can return them to the school office and we will submit them for you. Once registered you will receive an email from Indiana Learns on how to begin spending your tutoring grant.

If your child's teacher has recommended summer tutoring, we ask that you make every effort for your child to attend these opportunities in order to help your child succeed academically. Please call the school office to provide you with more information on these options, including how to enroll or find a qualified tutor.

Thank you for your dedication and commitment to our students' education. By working together, we can ensure that our students make the most of these final weeks of the school year and summer months. Remember to do your summer homework, go to church on Sunday, and don’t forget who we are - we are St. Anthony Spartans.

¡Espero que todos esten disfrutando de la primera semana del verano! El edificio de la escuela ha estado ocupado limpiando y preparándose para la escuela de verano y el próximo año escolar. El parque se ha transformado en un carnaval y espero que pueda hacer tiempo para pasar este fin de semana y apoyar el festival parroquial. ¡Te veo allí!

Recuerde que nos esforzamos por crear valiosas oportunidades de aprendizaje para los estudiantes durante todo el verano. Al mantener a los estudiantes comprometidos durante los meses de verano, los estudiantes pueden explorar nuevos temas, participar en actividades prácticas y fomentar el amor por el aprendizaje permanente. El aprendizaje de verano puede ser transformador y despertar su curiosidad más allá de los límites del salón de clases.

Cada estudiante de St. Anthony tiene una tarea de lectura de verano y un desafío de matemáticas de verano. Summer School and Summer Tutoring Reminder

If your child's teacher has recommended summer school or tutoring, we ask that you make every effort for your child to attend these opportunities in order to help your child succeed academically. If you did not attend your requested conference, please email your child's teacher. They will still be able to provide you with the information on these options, including how to enroll or find a qualified tutor.

Si el maestro de su hijo ha recomendado la escuela de verano o la tutoría, le pedimos que haga todo lo posible para que su hijo asista a estas oportunidades a fin de ayudarlo a tener éxito académico.
