"Moms Hurting Kids"
"A wise woman builds her house, but the foolish destroys it with her own hands." Proverbs 14:1
Today, I read an article on FixFamilyCourts.com which brought tears to my eyes. Not only because it was excruciatingly personal for me, coming from a home with divorced parents and having been abandoned by my first wife, but because I tried to imagine what pain and suffering so many mothers unintentionally bring upon their posterity--their children and grandchildren--by way of the same deceptive sin that corrupted Eve in the Garden.

Did you know that of all the risk factors for social disasters in life, nothing increases a child's risk more than being raised in a single mother home?
It's almost hard to believe, but in all my research, from both left-leaning and right-leaning sources, this is confirmed over and over again in innumerable studies.
The sheer prevalence of this social disaster is staggering. 64% of black children and 24% of white children live in single parents homes, and the vast majority of them are single mother-dominated homes.
A child living in a single-mother home is at greater risk for:
- Living in poverty. Children in single mother homes are more than 6 times as likely to live in poverty.
- Having mental and behavioral health problems
- Dropping out of high school
- Abusing drug and alcohol; 71% of adolescent drug and alcohol abusers live in single mother homes.
- They are at greater risk of being obese
- Children are 20 times more likely to end up in prison if they are raised in single mother homes
- Being raised in a fatherless home is a greater predictor than race or poverty to determine whether a child winds up in prison!
- 72% of juvenile murderers, according to a Duke Univ. Journal, are from single mother homes.
- 60% of rapists come from single mother homes. Teens are 14 times more likely to commit rape if they come from single mother home.
- 70% of children and teens in state juvenile detention centers are raised by single mothers. According to the Progressive Policy Institute, in 1990: “After controlling for single motherhood, the difference between black and white crime rates disappeared.”
- Two thirds of all children murdered are murdered by their mothers. (And that’s not even counting abortions.)
- Girls raised without fathers are more sexually promiscuous; thus, children from mother-dominated homes are more likely to get pregnant out of wedlock, which has its own lengthy list of lifelong negative consequences.
- 70% of teen suicides are from single parent homes. Teens are 5 times more likely to commit suicide if they live in single mother homes than if they live in homes run by single fathers or by both parents!
- 90% of runaways are from mother dominated homes. Put another way, children from single mother homes are 32 times more likely to run away and be homeless than if living in single father homes or two-parent home.
-
Dr. Paul Cameron, Chairman of the Family Research Institute, found that, statistically, a child was more likely to have homosexual desires if he or she had a "dominant, possessive, or rejecting mother," or "an absent, distant, or rejecting father."
-
Parental divorce during childhood emerged as the single strongest predictor of early death in childhood. The children of divorced parents live on average 5 years less compared to children from intact families.
Did you know that 70% of divorces initiated by women.
Among college-educated women, that number jumps to...
90%!
Proverbs 14:1 is relevant: "A wise woman builds her house, but the foolish destroys it with her own hands."
On the other hand, Proverbs 31 says of the "virtuous woman", "The heart of her husband safely trusts in her... she does him good and not evil all the days of her life... Her children arise up and called her blessed; her husband also, he praises her."
Before the child is born, the greatest risk of death for a child is at the hands of the abortionist being paid by the mother. So it is after birth: the greatest risk for children in life, whether from suicide, conceiving out of wedlock, dropping out of high school, being addicted to drugs or sexual perversion, imprisonment, and even all-cause mortality, is caused by the mother. Often, divorce is initiated by the mother not for biblically justifiable reasons, but for most often selfish reasons, aided by Family Courts and Child Protective Services who favor tearing children away from protective fathers and giving them to their mothers, defying the evidence of what is clearly statistically best for the child.
Statistically, one of the best things a woman can do for her children is love their father. Forgive him and keep your vows.
As Jed Smock, the man of God who married my wife and I in 1997, told us in his final departing words to us as we left on our honeymoon; he said,
“Live holy, and overlook one another’s faults.”
Do it for your children.
When Satan tempted Eve in the Garden, it was through promising her something that God wanted to give her all along: being like God, being wise, being happy. But the devil's promises didn't come true. Turns out obeying God is how we can be like God, be wise, and be happy. Eve forfeited God's promises through disobedience, and she poisoned her husband by inviting him into her sin, and the curse of sin passed down to her children. Your obedience to God can significantly impact your children's happiness in life. Don't be deluded by the same lie that felled Eve. God's way is always best.

Ten Things Dr. Johnston Does that Most
Family Docs Don't
By James P. Johnston, D.O.
Like almost all branches of medicine, family practice has followed the corporate polices dictated by the bureaucrats of Medicare and insurance companies. The family doctors and pediatricians of today are much different from the family docs I admired in college who encouraged me to become a family practitioner.
In addition to seeing patients in their home, here are ten more things I will do in my practice that most family practice doctors will not.
-
Urgent Care visits after hours and on weekends at no extra cost. The cost of going to the E.R. for stitches, for example, is the cost of me taking care of your whole family for a year... including the stitches! One family last year with a half dozen kids contacted me to put stitches in their kids' wounds THREE TIMES within TWO WEEKS! Rough kids. :-) When you factor in the visit to the remove the stitches, that was a lot of visits... at no extra cost! (Please don't break that record :-).
-
Ingrown toenail surgeries and skin cancer surgeries. Family doctors are trained to do them, but most doctors are salaried employees now, and they don't get paid more for working harder. And their employers have no problem with the family doctors consulting podiatrists and dermatologists to do these surgeries, as insurances will pay for it and the medical conglomerates can make more money. But this increases the cost tremendously, increases the time to treatment putting the patient at unnecessary risk, and increases inconvenience. One family last month required TWO ingrown toenail surgeries in one month! And I did this at no extra cost beyond the monthly membership fee.
-
Stem cell infusions and joint injections. I do not do this as part of my practice, but I do work as a part time contract for the Carolina Cell Therapy in Charlotte doing stem cell joint injections and stem cell transfusions and have witnessed amazing results! We have seen longstanding blindness from optic neuritis reversed, insulin requirements in diabetics go down 90%, and end stage kidney failure reverse in a patient on dialysis! (A write-up is being done on this patient now, and I will report on it in a future newsletter.) Call the Carolina Cell Therapy to learn more: 704-200-9761.
-
Joint injections and minor orthopedics. I always did my own joint and tendon injections. Patients with fractures and full tendon tears may have to see an orthopedic surgeon, but I have 22 years of experience doing my own patients' joint and tendon injections.
-
Testosterone supplementation. Most family doctors punt to endocrinology to handle hypogonadism (or symptomatic low testosterone levels). This can be embarrassing for patients, and there's no need to send the patient to a different doctor when the family doctor can do it. I have always handled this and other erectile dysfunction medicine for my patients.
-
Insulin administration for diabetics. Increasingly, family doctors are sending insulin-dependent diabetics and thyroid disease patients to endocrinology for treatment. Which is a shame, because we have all been trained to do it.
-
Will work with your midwife. Statistically, if your prenatal care is good, your home is the safest place to deliver your children. I will work with your midwife and see your infant in the home after delivery.
-
Call in medications on evenings and during weekends. I have never known a family doctor who gives his patients his personal cell phone. But I want to be available for my patients and save them money and time if I can.
-
Will draw your blood. For morning appointments, and for the elderly patients and young mothers, I will draw your blood in the home at no extra cost.
-
Fee schedule promotes bringing elderly parents and grandparents to live with you. The corporate healthcare policies and insurance company policies favor the institutionalization of our elderly loved ones who can no longer safely care for themselves at home. Because of the government's COVID policy and the policies of nursing homes, thousands if not tens of thousands of elderly loved ones have died in solitary confinement in nursing homes during the pandemic, unable to see their loved ones and grandchildren! What a tragedy! In Matthew 15:4-6, Jesus taught that honoring your parents meant caring for them, and he rebuked the hypocrisy of those who didn't provide care for their elderly parents! I have been the medical director of two nursing homes and, believe me, the safest and often the healthiest place for the elderly among is to live in with their loved ones. The charge for my medical care is based upon the size of your family living in your home. So for $10 or $20 extra a month you can bring your elderly loved one to come live with you. It may increase my work ten-fold, but the reward from honoring our elderly loved ones is worth it in my opinion.

Did you know COVID-19 is making a comeback? I have seen an uptick in cases recently.
Click HERE to view a short documentary on the benefits of ivermectin in early outpatient COVID infection.
A lawsuit against the CDC put forth by several physicians demonstrates how the CDC LIED about hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin in their attempts to coerce physicians into not prescribing it. They protect those lies with broad censorship involving the federal government cooperating with the television and internet media giants. The Emergency Authorization Use Act could only bypass all the safety studies and bring billions of dollars of taxpayer funds into the pockets of Big Pharma IF there were no generic alternatives to treat COVID. Based on company financial statements, Pfizer, BioNTech and Moderna made pre-tax profits of $34 billion in 2022. So they had to lie about ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine.
With over 90 worldwide studies proving ivermectin is safe and effective at reducing the morbidity and mortality of COVID-19 infection, it's a good idea to keep some on hand. Do you have a course of Ivermectin handy should you or your loved ones become infected?
Click here to order a consult and let me get you what you need to protect yourself and loved one from future variants of the COVID-19 pathogen.

This is the Concept Trailer for Dr. Johnston's new film, "Oberlin." A concept trailer is a lengthier trailer without "name talent" designed not for the public at large, but for investors. If you know someone who might be interested in investing in a feature film, we have already won 13 Screenplay Awards! This is an exciting true story that can really impacts the culture on an issue that is tearing this country apart--the issue of race.
Please watch the trailer, and let me know what you think. Feel free to forward it to others.

Have You Read Any of Dr. Johnston's Novels?
How long has it been since you've caught one of your teenagers reading at 2 a.m. because they just can't put the page-turner down?
Can you trust what's on the shelf at Barnes & Noble? Much of it is full of illicit sex and godlessness. Is that what you want them reading at 2 a.m.?
At a booth at a homeschool convention several years ago, I had an 11-year-old come up to my table and ask me to sign my novel The Revolt of 2020. He loved the Hunger Games and Divergent series and his parents allowed him to purchase one book. He wanted mine. I signed it and guess who came back the next day asking to trade it for the second in the Trilogy? Yep. Same kid. He read it in one day, and couldn't wait to find out what happened next. So I traded it for The American Tyranny of 2020, and then the next day for the finale The Uncivil War of 2020. He just couldn't put 'em down.
Give your kids riveting fiction that will entertain and strengthen their faith! Check out Dr. Johnston's novels at RevolutionaryNovels.com.
