APRIL MISSION OF THE MONTH

Chester Eastside is a welcoming and inclusive community that enables individuals of all ages to achieve their goals and aspirations. The mission promotes a peaceful co-existence in Chester through advocacy and programs for education, social services and justice. CE has been actively carrying out their mission since 1985 and now located at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. CE programs feature a Food Ministry which provides more than 200,000 meals each year and an after school literacy enrichment program. They also operate an award-winning Community Garden which, in 2024, produced 1392 pounds of food that was distributed to the wider community.

Last month the Executive Director Rev. Andy Jacob joined us for worship when he provided insight to the programs at CE and the unfortunate circumstances the residents face in the surrounding area. Please consider giving a generous donation to help our congregation in support of this worthy local mission program.

Donations of plastic eggs filled with wrapped candy, stickers, or sensory friendly options, are needed for the hunt! Beginning this Sunday, there will be boxes of empty eggs in the Narthex that need to be filled. Help yourself. Please bring back to church by Wednesday, April 9th.
