RSDM held its convocation on May 15 at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. One hundred and twenty-five students earned their degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine and 30 students obtained postgraduate certificates with some also receiving Master of Dental Science degrees.

Craig S. Hirschberg, chair of the Department of Endodontics at RSDM, has been elected as the president of American Association of Endodontists (AAE), which represents specialty endodontics in North America.

Rutgers School of Dental Medicine held its yearly award recognition ceremony to celebrate the achievements of the graduating class. At the May 10 event, faculty, staff, families, and loved ones of the Class of 2023 came together prior to graduation.

On May 4, Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Omega Omega Chapter held its annual dinner to welcome its newest members. OKU is the national dental honor society, representing and promoting the highest standards of scholarship, professionalism, and ethics in the dental profession.

The Class of 2026 and the internationally educated dentists in Classes of 2024 and 2025, representing 26 countries from around the world, wore their white coats for the first time in a ceremony on May 2 at RSDM.
