Shout Out to Helga Thomas for her Emerald Seas | |
Emerald Seas by Bierstadt
Helga did a wonderful job on this painting after taking a break from painting for a bit.
She sent her 20x24 painting in for a Personal Art Coach (PAC) to get Ginger's options. There were only some minor tweaks that needed to be made
Helga listened close to what Ginger suggested and made the changes to end up with this muesum quality painting.

The Erasmus Bridge fondly referred to as "The Swan," is a quintessential landmark in the city of Rotterdam, The Netherlands. This elegant and iconic structure spans the Maas River, linking the northern and southern regions of Rotterdam and contributing significantly to the city's striking skyline. Named after the Dutch theologian Desiderius Erasmus, the bridge was designed by Ben van Berkel and completed in 1996. Its unique and distinctive design features a single, asymmetrical pylon that shoots upwards, giving the appearance of a graceful swan in mid-flight.
The Erasmus Bridge is more than just a means of transportation; it's a symbol of Rotterdam's modernity and innovative spirit. The bridge's impressive length of 802 meters (about half a mile) and its soaring pylon, which reaches a height of 139 meters (approximately 456 feet), make it one of the most remarkable sights in the city. It's not uncommon to see the Erasmus Bridge graced by cyclists and pedestrians and being a focal point for cultural events and festivities. Whether illuminated against the night sky or cast long shadows in the daylight, the Erasmus Bridge stands as a testament to the harmonious blend of functional design and aesthetic appeal.
