You Can Help Shape Our Workforce's Future
(And Win A Prize for Participating)
Help shape our the future of our region's workforce! Zebulon Chamber has partnered with local workforce and economic development groups to address skills gaps and employer needs, improving the employment pipeline. Complete the 2023 Regional Skills Analysis survey, covering the greater Triangle and Cape Fear regions in North Carolina. Conducted by RTI International, an independent non-profit research institute, the survey aims to understand hiring needs, inform training providers, and provide valuable information for policymakers. By participating, you contribute to developing a comprehensive talent pipeline strategy and ongoing industry feedback. The survey takes about 20 minutes, and as a token of appreciation, your name is entered in weekly prize drawings for local gift cards, with a chance to win a grand prize of $1,000 to the Umstead Hotel and Spa.

Back-to-School Extravaganza
Clothing Giveaway & Resource Event
Join Zebulon Chamber Partners Shepherd’s Care Medical Clinic, East Wake Education Foundation, and East Wake Food Family among others at the Back-to-School Extravaganza. Hosted by The Carver Center and Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in partnership with East Wake Food Family, this event aims to provide much-needed support to local children and families as they prepare for the upcoming school year.

We are reaching out to our generous community members, churches, and organizations to request donations of new or gently used clothes for children of all ages, from infants through high school. In particular, we need professional clothing suitable for high school students attending job interviews or college preparation activities. Please note that undergarment donations must be new. Clothing donations will be accepted from July 2 to July 28. Event staff can arrange weekly pick-ups of donated items every Thursday between July 2 and July 28, 2023. Zebulon Chamber Grows Its Board
Welcomes New Members
The Zebulon Chamber of Commerce celebrated a momentous day on June 22 as three Chamber partners joined its Board of Directors. Vanessa Caldwell from Nomaco, Quinton Taylor from East Wake Collective, and Kyle Williams from Benchmark Community Bank bring their expertise and passion to the Zebulon Chamber, enhancing its ability to support and foster the local business community. Additionally, the Chamber recognized the selfless service of Cindy Stansbury from GSK and Brandon McCraney from Olde Raleigh Distillery, who have played vital roles in guiding the Chamber through the the pandemic and the reorganization of the past two years.

The Zebulon Chamber proudly acknowledges the entire Board of Directors for their commitment and leadership. Alongside Board Chair Jennifer Williams, PHR, the Board includes Kacie Germano, (Germano +, LLC), Kyle Williams (Benchmark Community Bank), Leigh Wall (US Foods), Vanessa Caldwell (Nomaco), Quinton Crosson-Taylor (East Wake Collective), Carnell Taylor (Second Wind Computers), Hunter Rascoe (Design Dimension, Inc.), and Ginger Dutmers (ERA Parrish Realty Legacy Group).

During the summer, the Board will be working with Executive Director John Saffold to form Chamber partner committees to review membership levels and benefits along with the Chamber's program of work for 2023-2024. More to come!

the Chamber's Zebulon Education Partners Lunch
Zebulon Education Partners closed out the 2022-2023 academic year at a networking lunch sponsored by the Zebulon Chamber. Thanks to Douglas Price and Sheneika Simmons of WakeEd Partnership for sharing about their work with Tools4Schools and the Career Accelerator Programs. Zebulon Chamber established Zebulon Education Partners in February of this year to work with WakeEd and other regional organizations to pursue partnerships that support our educators, students, and area businesses as we work to prepare the next generation to develop their gifts and skills as productive members of the community. Zebulon Educational Partners meets quarterly and will resume in Fall 2023.
