Like Forrest Gump and his box of chocolates, when you invite people to call for employment-related legal advice, you never know what you’re going to get! In any given week, HR inquiries cover a broad range of topics, including:
- Hiring, onboarding, discipline, and termination
- Medical leaves, workers’ compensation, pregnancy, and disabilities
- Compensation and benefits
At our upcoming meeting, Mr. Reese will work through a variety of common questions that come up regularly from dealerships, blending legal requirements and details with a pragmatic sense of risk management designed to help our members not only take the right steps forward but also be prepared to explain and document what gets done. Come armed with a question or two, as there should be plenty of time for some Q&A. And don’t be shy: for every question you think may be too esoteric or out-there to ask in public, there will be three or four other members silently grateful that you asked it for them!
