Park District Strategic Plan

On On February 19, directors, managers, and the Park District Board of Commissioners met with facilitators from Northern Illinois University’s Center for Governmental Studies for the next phase of the Strategic Plan. This session focused on refining goals, considering key factors such as the Park District’s mission, stakeholder input, accomplishments, and SWOC analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Challenges). More to come!

The Community Wide Food Drive, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Carol Stream will be held on April 12 at Glenbard North High School (GBN). The Food Drive kicks off on March 1 as donations are collected at various locations throughout Carol Stream, including Fountain View and Simkus Recreation Centers. businesses, schools, community buildings and individual residences. All donations are centralized at GBN on April 12 and then divided among six food pantries that serve Carol Stream.

Community Coat Drive extended until March 31!

The Rotary's community Coat Drive has been extended to March 31. We are still in need of coats, hats, gloves, mittens and scarves. Clean out a closet and donate today!
