Loss in the AFH family - Malati Kesaree

It is with profound sadness that I inform you that Malati Kesaree passed away. For many years, Malati was a cherished and invaluable member of the AFH. Her journey with us began as a student but over time, her involvement deepened, and she became a board member, bringing insights and enthusiasm to the organization's leadership.

Malati's presence was a constant and uplifting force at AFH's cultural events. She was known for her assiduous participation, ensuring that each event was a success. Her dedication didn't stop there; she took on the initiative to organize the Saturday conversation group meetings at Mozzicato, creating a space where members could engage in meaningful dialogues and build stronger connections.

The AFH sadly had to bid farewell to Malati when she returned to India to take care of her two elderly sisters, demonstrating the same compassion and commitment that she had shown to the AFH community.

To remember Malati, a contribution can be made to one of the following organizations which support girls' education in India.

Child Rights and You (CRY); https://www.cry.org.

ASHA for Education: https://ashanet.org.

Khushii: https://khushii.org

Smile Foundation: https://smilefoundationusa.org

Remembered always,

Silvia Bettega, President
