A Note From Our President and CEO

Happy New Year!

Many of our member cities, counties and EDC's are starting their new fiscal year on July 1. They've worked tirelessly to strategize and plan in order to make their communities a better place to live, work and play. A place that families can take root and enjoy quality of life for years to come.

They've also been making decisions as to how they might best interact with and capture the attention of key site and location decision makers in the upcoming year. They want to tell their story, the REAL story - not something shared just to make media sizzle. They want you to see that.. yes, they ARE business friendly and yes they do have locations, workforce and infrastructure which makes them RIPE for growth.

Not only are we embarking upon a "new year," we also have the July 4th holiday coming up next week. I encourage you all to celebrate! Celebrate our freedom and celebrate that we live in such a dynamic, diverse, innovative country and state.

Come July 5th, it will be back to business.. and by reading our "Members in the News" below - you'll see that we certainly do mean business.

800,000 SF Warner Bros.

Headquarters Completed

at Burbank Studios in California

Worthe has completed constructing the 800,000-square-foot office project, Second Century at Burbank Studios. It will serve as the headquarters for Warner Bros..

The two LEED-certified office buildings are located on the southernmost portion of the Burbank Studios Lot in Burbank. The buildings will house about 4,500 Warner Bros. employees.

Public Market Center Adds New Energy to Downtown Redding, CA

City of Murrieta-

Maker of KTM motorcycles opens $53M headquarters in the IE

“Building our new North American headquarters in Murrieta was the biggest single investment we’ve ever made yet,” Stefan Pierer, CEO of Pierer Mobility, said on opening day. “We set a new standard for the whole U.S. market.”

The campus includes three high-tech buildings with 130,000 square feet for technical development, administrative offices, media relations, dealer training, a warehouse, and racing departments. A dozen acres have been set aside for future development.

VF Corporation to Launch Operations at New

State-of-the-Art Distribution Center

VF Corporation (NYSE: VFC), a leading portfolio of active-lifestyle brands, today announced it has launched operations at its new distribution center in Ontario, California, employing approximately 550 people during peak periods.

The center’s 76-million-unit annual shipping capacity will initially service Vans® and The North Face® with the capability to add more VF brands. With a digital-first design, the center has the capacity to ship 485,000 units per day – twice the processing capacity and efficiency compared to a traditional distribution center.
