April 2023

Hello Angela,

This month our seders celebrate the festival of freedom - a holiday of traditions and family recipes - and we reflect on an ancient story both bitter and sweet.

Wishing all a happy Passover 2023.

WRS Rosh Chodesh

A Special Holiday for Women

The Rosh Chodesh Group

Next meeting: Tuesday, April 4

2:00pm - 3:30pm on Zoom

“Whoever blesses the moon in its time welcomes

the presence of the Schechina (female Devine presence).”

The month of Nisan is springtime, when the Israelites were freed from slavery after 210 years. Similarly, it’s the month of speech when we recite the Passover story of that freedom. The limb of the body associated with Nisan is the right leg, showing the first steps in development of the Jewish nation. We’ll talk about Miriam and how she was punished with leprosy when she challenged God. We’ll also learn about the blessing we recite when we see budding trees representing God’s completion of the world to give humanity pleasure. We’ll also discuss miracles and how they appear in our lives.

Please join us. Everyone is welcome.
