Senior Walk
On Friday last week, our 15 seniors walked through the halls of RMBA for the last time as a class. They travelled through the upper and middle school hallway, lobby, and down the lower school hallway being cheered on by family, students, and staff that marked a very touching moment. We are looking forward to each of their speeches next week at graduation.

Looking at Art
Morah Aviva's EC4 class was so excited to begin a special unit called: “Looking at Art Through A Child’s Eyes”. In this unit they will learn the techniques of 5 artists through observation, and utilization of different materials and tools. The first artist was Jackson Pollock who used a Drip and Splatter technique on his canvases. The children had the opportunity to see his works on the smart board and also observe how he utilized his technique in his studio. Everyone had a blast creating their own mural by emulating his drip and splatter technique. It didn’t end there! The class had an array of splattered colors all over their floor, and everyone was super helpful and diligent in cleaning up with special wipes that Morah Aviva handed out. A huge Kol Hakavod goes out to all the friends in EC4 who did a most spectacular job during their End of Year Program. It is now off to a new phase - Kindergarten!

Talent Show
This week we had a chance to see our lower school students show us how truly talented and unique they are at our Lower School Talent Show! What a huge success, the kids did such a great job! They showed their skills in basketball, dance, comedy, kung fu, piano, gymnastics, magic, and so many more! Most heartwarming of all was how they all cheered each other on and sat through a 2 hour show so nicely! We loved seeing parents bringing the ruach (spirit), and are so grateful for all their pre-show help. A special thank you to Ms. Morrison and Ms. Bigham for the work that they put into making this moment come to life.

Shavuot
This week students in Morah Clara's EC3B class learned that we can call Shavuot Matan Torahteinu (giving our Torah) because Hashem gave us a precious gift, the Torah. The students practiced and strengthened their fine motor skills, coloring, cutting, and gluing flowers and crowns to their Torahs. They also made their own crowns, mountain puppets, and dairy placemats.

Annual Parent Survey
We are excited to share that we have contracted together with Scott Goldberg Consulting to oversee and guide a new strategic planning process. As we look toward the future of RMBA and dream about what it can become, we look toward the many constituents of our school to bring their voice to the forefront. Our annual parent survey kicks off the beginning of our strategic planning process that will unfold over the first half of the 2023-2024 academic year. Kindly fill out the survey and share your thoughts by clicking here. The survey will be open through Wednesday, June 7th. We will be raffling off a $100 Target gift card to all those who take the time to complete the survey, and will be sharing the results of the aggregated data and themes that arise at our Annual Meeting on Monday, June 12th at 8 PM. During the strategic planning process all RMBA constituents will have the opportunity to share their voice and add to the conversation. This survey is intended for current RMBA parents.
