A Weekly Update from the Strafford Region

Planning

This week the Coastal Adaptation Workgroup released a blog post written by Principal Planner Kyle Pimental and Regional Planner Autumn Scott. The blog features two projects completed in Madbury and Rollinsford in to update their floodplain regulations. Madbury's new ordinance was adopted at Town Meeting in March, and Rollinsford will begin preparing for adoption in 2024 later this fall. Economic Development

The 2023 Strafford Economic Development District’s CEDS Update (Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy) was officially approved by the SRPC Policy Committee on June 16th. The CEDS reports on the progress made in 2023, including the status of the actions in the 2020-2023 CEDS Plan. The Strafford Economic Development District (EDD) has completed many of the actions in that plan, and there are many more that are in progress. Check out the Action Plan section of the 2023 CEDS Update for more information.

We’d love to hear from you on what priorities you think the EDD should focus on in FY2024. Please feel free to email Angie Cleveland with your ideas: acleveland@strafford.org.
