Hybrid Board Meeting Announcement

The Meeting of the Board of Directors for S-G Owners Association, Inc. is scheduled for Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 6:00 pm. The informational packet will be posted to TownSq on the Tuesday before the meeting.

SplashPad Playground - Closed Until Further Notice

Due to the inconsistencies found at the SplashPad Playground, a Certified Park Inspector evaluated the playground on Monday, May 1, 2023, and unfortunately, it did not pass inspection. Playwell is currently prioritizing our playground and working to correct the issues. We do not have an estimated date of opening at this time. We apologize for the delay since the children are excited to play. Their safety must come first, and we must ensure all is corrected before the playground is opened for the residents. Once the playground is opened, we will post an announcement on TownSQ and the community website.

2023 Pool Schedule


We are happy to announce that the Recreation Center and SplashPad pools will open on weekends beginning Saturday, May 6, 2023. Beginning Memorial Day weekend, the pools will open daily except on Mondays at the Recreation Center pool and Tuesdays at the SplashPad Pool.


To gain entry into the pool at both locations, you will need to utilize your access card. If you do not have an access card, please visit the onsite office to purchase a card for $5 or a fob for $10 (Paid through TownSQ) during business hours. You must be in good standing with the HOA to use the pool facilities.


The SplashPad will open from 10:00 am - 8:00 pm starting Saturday, May 6, 2023. Please note that the SplashPad will be closed temporarily on Monday, May 08, 2023, and Tuesday, May 09, 2023, for the repainting of the fixtures.


The Swim Team will host swim meets at the Recreation Center Pool on the following Saturdays: May 6, May 20, and June 10. The Recreation Center Pool will open to residents from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm on those dates.

Pet Reminders

We love our furry friends in Stone Gate! Below are a few reminders:

  • Check your fences often to keep your pet safely secured in your yard
  • Keep your pets on a leash at all times when they are not in your fenced area
  • Utilize the doggy stations and trash cans throughout the community
  • Don't allow your dog's barking to disrupt your neighbors at unreasonable hours or for a long period of time.

Pool Deposits

If your pool is complete, don't forget to notify management here. A friendly reminder that you must submit photos of your pool once completed to receive your $1,000 deposit back!

Crime Prevention Tips and Reminders

  • Remove Valuables from your vehicle and lock your car doors
  • Check all windows and doors to your home to ensure property function, no damage, and that they are locked- especially when you leave your home
  • Get to know your neighbors
  • Call the Harris County Sherriff's Office, HCSO, (713-221-6000) if something appears suspicious (persons, vehicles, or activity)
  • Call the Guardhouse (281-256-3620) for any common area and facility trespassing or noise complaints
  • Ask your neighbor to collect your mail when you are on vacation
  • Request Vacation Watches when you are on vacation through HCSO
  • If you believe you are being followed, call the police, do not go home but instead, go to a crowded well lit area
  • Be aware of your surroundings- it is easy to get distracted by phones, children, music (earbuds), etc.
  • If you call HCSO for service, request the Stone Gate Contract Deputy
  • Always call 911 for Life-Threatening Emergencies

Parking Policy

As a friendly reminder street parking is not permitted. Street parking is our #1 complaint submitted by residents. Vehicles parked on streets, stacked/double parked in cul-de-sacs, in front of mailboxes, and at curves/turns/corners create hazards for other drivers as they cannot see around those vehicles. Please be sure that you are utilizing all the spaces in the garage and driveway to accommodate the number of vehicles they were built to hold. Vehicles parked on the street is a major concern for emergency responders and school buses as they have difficulty navigating through the community, especially the many sections that have narrow roads.

 

Please note that security is driving throughout the community and placing stickers on vehicles that are in violation of the deed restrictions. 

  • During the hours of 5:01 am - 12:59 am, street parking is allowed only when the driveway is full.
  • During the hours of 1:00 am - 5:00 am, street parking is NOT allowed.
  • Guests of residents including caregivers or domestic help must park their vehicles in the driveway of the resident they are visiting unless the driveway is full.
  • Service providers that are providing a service to a resident's lot (e.g. construction workers, landscapers, plumbers, etc.), may park on the street.
  • Commercial vehicles may not be parked overnight (5:01 am - 12:59 am) in the neighborhood. 

 

If you received a sticker on your driver-side window, please correct the violation by moving your vehicle out of the street and onto your driveway. If you are having a party or gathering, please contact the HOA via TownSq or stonegaterec@associa.us, and a temporary parking pass will be issued.

Having a gathering?

If you are having a party/gathering and will have many visitors, please let management know with the following information.

  • Name and contact information
  • Address
  • Date of event
  • Start and end times of the event
  • Street/s you will be having your guests park on


Please be courteous to your neighbors, avoid blocking surrounding driveways, and keep noise levels to a minimum.

Inspections

Please be advised that our inspectors are scheduled every month for any violations of the deed restrictions. We have received reports about various concerns that need to be addressed, and the inspectors will look at all aspects of the property for compliance with the deed restrictions. Below are a few examples of what has been reported:

  • Fences that are faded and need to be painted
  • Fences that are rusted and need repairs
  • Landscape Maintenance - overgrown, dead/dying grass, plants, and trees
  • Items stored in the backyards
  • Play structures that are broken and not being maintained
  • Roof gutters that are broken
  • Patio/Gazebo fabric covers that are faded, torn, and/or missing

A message to our motorcyclists

Please see the image below if you have been experiencing issues exiting the gates while on your motorcycle. You must slowly drive over the loop (pictured below) for the gate to recognize the motorcycle and open the gates.

Join the StoneGators Swim Club

Are you interested in your child joining our neighborhood swim team? The StoneGators Swim Club is a competitive summer league swim team, and we would love for your child to join the team. Summer league is a fun and friendly competition against other local neighborhood swim teams which are part of NWAL (Northwest Aquatic League).


Why should your child join?

- Swimming is a life skill. Your child will become a better swimmer and will be safer around water.

- Swimming is great exercise. Practice is held 4 days per week.

- Your family will make new lifelong friends.


Who can join?

- Children must be 3-18 years old.

- Children must be able to swim 25 yards unassisted in any stroke (length of Stone Gate pool).
