September has rolled around again and for many this means things start switching gears.  We go from the lazy days of summer to the busy days of school and soccer,  band practice and football games.  This is also a busy month at the library, where we'll have not one but two authors this month, the start of our Science Speaker Series and of course the Fall booksale at the end of the month.  Hope you'll mark your calendar for one or more of these exciting events.  We always enjoy seeing everyone come in to check out some books too!!

What's Inside a Squid You Ask?
Monday September 25,  6:30-8:00pm
The Children's Department has many STEM programs coming up this fall. The one we're most excited about is Squid Dissection on Thursday, September 21. Kids in 4th-6th grade can come learn about the anatomy of this common sea creature under the guidance of marine educator Cynde McInnis. This is the second program using techniques of scientists who work in the field, great for a future marine biologist! Register below or call 978 686-4080 x26
