In addition to outpacing the state graduation rate by nearly three percentage points, Poudre School District had a 2023-24 dropout rate of 1.1% - nearly half the state dropout rate of 1.9%.

PSD graduation rate soared to new heights with Class of 2024


The PSD Class of 2024 recorded the district's highest four-year graduation rate since the way graduation data is calculated changed in 2010, the Colorado Department of Education announced last week. PSD's superintendent, Brian Kingsley, will host six meetings between Feb. 6 and April 24 to provide the community with updates about the state of the district, answer questions, and collect feedback. Each session will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the media centers in schools across PSD. Find a full schedule on the PSD website.>>


The superintendent's sessions are separate from the informal listening sessions the PSD Board of Education is hosting Jan. 16, Feb. 20, and April 17, where community members are invited to discuss any PSD-related topic of interest with board members. Feb. 22 summit focused on parenting, student support will merge two events


PSD's Mental Health Matters event is merging with the Center for Family Outreach's Parent, Grandparent, and Kin Summit for a joint event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Feb. 22 at Fort Collins High School. Come learn about local resources and attend presentations about trauma-informed parenting, substance abuse, mental health strategies, grief support, and more. Recognizing counselors and career training


Caring for the mental health and academic progress of students and offering them hands-on opportunities to gain experience in their future career fields are key to student success in PSD and beyond. The PSD Board of Education adopted resolutions at their Jan. 28 meeting recognizing the importance of this work by marking February as Career and Technical Education Month and Feb. 3-7 as National School Counseling Week.>>
