Come Decorate for Palm Sunday
On Palm Sunday, many churches distribute palm fronds to their parishioners, a reminder of the palms the Bible says were laid down in front of Jesus as he entered Jerusalem prior to his arrest and crucifixion. Many parishioners use these fronds to make decorative crosses they’ll keep on display in their homes throughout the coming year.
Join our Altar Guild Saturday, April 12th at 9 a.m. to learn how to make your own palm crosses and to help make some for Palm Sunday!

Join us for the Gethsemane Watch
“Could you not keep awake one hour?” were the words of Jesus in reproach to his hapless followers in the first Gethsemane. Ever since, his disciples of subsequent generations have attempted to do better, in some small way to make up what was lacking in the first bunch.
St. Andrew's will host a Gethsemane Watch all through the night after the Maundy Thursday service and you can join us! Sign up for a time in the Narthex this Sunday or call the Church Office.

Help Us Find Our New Music Director!
Our Minister of Music, Paige Gottlieb, has announced that she will be retiring after Easter. Paige recently passed her 3rd anniversary with St. Andrew’s and she has grown us both musically and spiritually! With over 42 years in church music, we are glad she is able to fully retire (although we are so sad to see her go).
And we have begun our search for our next Minister of Music! If you know of a talented Organist, please feel free to direct them to our job description on the Jacksonville AGO site.

The Great Triduum
The Great Triduum is one liturgy over the course of three days. It begins Maundy Thursday, continues on Good Friday, and finally ends with the Easter Vigil. You can attend any of the services by themselves, but every Episcopalian should attend all three of them at least once in their life!
Maundy Thursday: April 17th at 7:00 p.m. (In Person & Online)
Get your pedicure before the service and join us for a full-blown foot washing this year. Come hear all about the example Christ set for us.
Gethsemane Watch to follow. See more info below.
Good Friday: April 18th at 11:30 a.m. (In Person & Online)
We'll start with the Stations of the Cross in front of the church, and move inside around noon to continue the liturgy.
The Great Easter Vigil: April 20th at 6:30 a.m. (In Person & Online)
The Great Easter Vigil is the final part of the Great Triduum, and one of the most celebratory and joyful services we have in the church. Gather outside in the dark around the Great Fire, be the first to witness the empty tomb (and the sunrise), and bring a bell to ring! If you have never participated in the Great Vigil before, this is one you don't want to miss!
A reception and the hiding of the Easter eggs to follow the Vigil.

And SAVE THE DATE:
Parish Retreat at Camp Weed!
We’ll gather for dinner on Friday, February 13th, 2026 and conclude after worship and lunch on Sunday, February 15th. And our brothers and sisters from Redeemer will be joining us!
There will be time for fellowship and games and relaxation and worship and good food! Consider spending this time with your St. Andrew's family to relax, laugh, play, worship, learn, hang-out, enjoy, and eat together. We’ll come away having deepened our relationships with each other and God and we’ll all have a renewed focus on not only the importance of prayer, but the variety of ways prayer can be done. Stay tuned for registration details!

March DOK Outreach: Isaiah 117 House
When children are removed from their homes out of concern for their safety, they are usually brought to a child welfare services office to await placement. This wait can be a few hours to several days. These children often have nothing with them and are scared, lonely, hungry, and in dirty clothing.
Isaiah 117 provides a comforting home where these children instead can be brought to wait – a place that is safe with friendly and loving volunteers who provide clean clothes, smiles, toys, and snuggly blankets.
And in March, you helped collect many of these urgently needed items! Isaiah 117 House picked them up this Thursday to pass on to the kids.
Thank you St. Andrew's for your generous donations and thank you DOK for organizing this drive!
