United Way of Greater Kingsport (UWGK) improves 1,400 lives every day by supporting critical services and initiatives that impact the health, education, and financial stability of every person in our community! YOU can be part of that impact by volunteering for Citizen's Review, gaining insight into our 27 UWGK Member Agencies, & giving valuable feedback that helps guide our funding process. We are looking for 50+ volunteers from our community to participate during Citizen's Review which takes place in March & April 2024. Training is scheduled for both new & returning volunteers in February 2024.

We are gearing up for our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program in the Spring and are looking for volunteers! Even if you’re not interested in tax preparation, there are many ways to volunteer and make a difference! We are looking for volunteers to set appointments (virtual opportunity), greet clients, & complete tax returns. Training is self-paced, online, & FREE! Join us as we help more than 300 low-income, elderly, disabled and veteran individuals file their taxes. If you're interested in being part of this amazing program, visit the links below to sign up!
