Summer Life Groups
This summer we have some exciting life groups to jump into. Some of these are only a few weeks, just for the summer, and others are continuing into the summer.

Made to Count: A 4-Week Life Group for Women - led by Sarah Hill
10:00 am Wed. June 21-July 12

Your life matters greatly to God! This 4-week group for women will explore that truth as we seek to live more faithfully for Jesus. Each week will include a short video by John Ortberg, with plenty of time following for sharing and prayer. We’ll meet at the church at 10 am each Wednesday from June 21-July 12. Babysitting can be arranged if requested, so let the church know ASAP if that is a need!

Parent Life Group - led by Lindsay Sherrard
9:30 am Sunday

Life group for parents during Sunday School hour for kids and youth: we have a brief devotional and a long time of prayer in a supportive and confidential setting.

Marinate Life Group - led by Ross Anderson
11:00 am Sunday

After the Traditional Service, we meet in the History Room to discuss the Sermon marinate questions, share, and pray.

Intercession Life Group - led by Steve and Barbi Partlow,
6:30 pm on Wednesdays in the Prayer Room

Our only real agenda is to seek God’s heart through prayer and intercede as He directs. This group is for anyone dedicated to being a prayer warrior on “watch” for our church, neighborhood, city, state and nation!

August with C.S. Lewis – led by Josh Modrzynski
6:00 pm on Tues. Aug. 1-29

Have you ever wanted a good excuse to read through C.S. Lewis’ classic on the Christian faith, “Mere Christianity?” This is a book study for the five Tuesdays of August, where we will discuss about 20-30 pages a week, focusing on content and application for today. You can either read it throughout the summer and come prepared, or keep up on a week-to-week basis during August.
This fun, low-time commitment program for rising 6th through 12th graders will meet on Sundays from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM from June 18 through August 13 with a final performance on August 20 at 2:00 PM.

All students who meet the age criteria are welcome to join. Auditions will be held within rehearsals to place actors in specific roles. This program is offered tuition-free.

The original Godspell was the first major musical theatre offering from three-time Grammy and Academy Award-winner, Stephen Schwartz, and it took the world by storm. Boasting a score with chart topping songs, Godspell JR. is a sensation that continues to touch audiences.

An eclectic blend of songs, ranging in style from pop to vaudeville, are employed as a group of actors help tell different parables by using a wide variety of storytelling techniques. Dissolving hauntingly into the Last Supper and the Crucifixion, Jesus' teachings come vibrantly to life.

Parents interested in signing up their youngster can do so at this link here. Questions can be sent to Ben Miller at bmiller@stgiles.org.

Church Life
VBS Needs Your Help!
At the beginning of July, we hope to transform Patterson to look like we've stepped back into the time of David! In order to do so, we are in need of some of the following supplies. Will you please take a look at our supply needs and drop off in the donation bin outside the church office as soon as you are able? Many of these items we would just need to borrow and could return after VBS, so please make sure you label who they are from. If you have questions, please email Heather Agnello at hagnello@stiles.org. Thank you in advance for your help!

  • White Christmas tree lights (no icicles/blinking lights) - We need these ASAP!!
  • Oriental Area Rugs (no larger than 5x9)
  • Tailgate tent

  • White or brown bedsheets (top only)
  • Wooden shipping pallets

Thank you so much for your donations for the food bank! We are currently no longer in need of egg cartons, but non perishables are always needed.
